Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the District of Lakeland No. 521 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 17-2013, known as the Zoning Bylaw and intends to adopt Bylaw No. 16-2020, known as the Recreational Accommodation Provisions Bylaw.

A Public Meeting was held on November 22, 2019 to present the proposal to the Public.  However, the required Restructuring Agreement was not available at that time.  Therefore, a public meeting will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. via the Zoom Platform for the purpose of presenting the Restructuring Agreement to the public.  Please refer to the District of Lakeland Meeting Agenda under the “Council” tab for access to the agreement. Please be advised that Brett Wells and Landyn Uhersky have made an application to operate a cannabis retail store at 191 Ambrose Lane in the Bear Country Fudge building (ice cream store) located next to Ambrose Grocery.  The ice cream shop will be re-located across the parking lot.  Brett and Landyn currently operate 6 retails stores across Saskatchewan. 

Please be advised that The Quest at Christopher Lake has made an application for a seasonal campground for families that will be attending The Quest.  The Quest is able to provide programs on weekends and day camps for the summer of 2021.  They want to be able to provide the families with the opportunity to stay in their own RV on the property as the children are not able to stay in the cabins due to provincial guidelines.  The request is for families only that will be attending the camp and the intent is to have 4 sites set aside.
