The District of Lakeland No. 521 has certain bylaws that are set to be followed in the community, including building and development,traffic and waste control.

  • Animal Control Bylaw  
    A bylaw encouraging safe, respectful and responsible animal ownership and to provide for penalties and for not abiding by the bylaw.
  • ATV Bylaw 
    A bylaw to regulate the operation of all terrain vehicles
  • Block Party, Special Events Policy 
    To facilitate activities of individuals, neighbourhoods within the municipality and outside organizations which are intended to enhance the quality of life for residents and ratepayers.
  • Fire Restriction Bylaw 
    A bylaw to provide for public safety in times of extreme fire hazard conditions and to restrict or eliminate the use of fire within the municipality in areas of fire danger, and to regulate open fires and fireworks.
  • General Penalty Bylaw 
    A bylaw to provide for the enforcement of the bylaws of the municipality persuant in The Municipalities Act.
  • Noise Bylaw 
    A bylaw for the purpose of prevention, prohibiting, controlling of loud and excessive noise, or any noise which unreasonably disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of other persons.
  • Official Community Plan (OCP) 
    The purpose of this bylaw is to provide goals, objectives and policies to guide the management of the use of land and its future development within the limits of the municipality
  • RM Traffic Bylaw 
    A bylaw to regulate the operation of vehicles and the use of the highways.
  • Trailer Licensing Fee Bylaw  
    A bylaw to authorize service fees and to lawfully permit operations of trailer parks, campgrounds, RV & Mobile home parks while ensuring their proper land use.
  • Waste Disposal Bylaw 
    To protect the health and welfare of people and environment by regulating and monitoring the collection, handling and disposal of waste and recyclable material.
  • Zoning Bylaw 
    This Bylaw was formed to control the use and development of the land in the District and assist in implementing the Development Plan Bylaw.
